Took money but did not upgrade

I want a refund. Apple charged my card for the subscription fee. No upgrade occurred. Google says Apple is the problem. Apple points me back to Google because it’s considered a subscription. Google support says nope, they don’t see any purchase, contact Apple. $20 plus tax completely wasted. Just give me my money back. Never trust purchase between competing giants. You, the customer, will likely get burned like they did to me.
